Biochar soil improver.

Biochar soil improver can be bought directly from us and is sold in 30 litre volumes using reused farm feed bags.

Using Biochar increases pH and helps build a healthy soil structure, which increases water-holding capacity and reduces erosion. Also, because biochar has a strong negative charge, it draws in minerals and other nutrients for soil life to feed on.

When Biochar is added to soil it helps raise crop yields and reduces the need for fertilisers. 

Biochar is most effective when ‘charged’. When it is mixed with a compost for at least a month it takes on additional nutrients and is able to release them into the soil more slowly than if the compost were unaltered.

As with all our products you are you helping support the productive use of all parts of the tree within a woodland management context.
